Over PayPal

In het begin van KidsUnplugged hadden we geen bankrekening, geen statuten, en vooral geen clue hoe het verder zou evolueren. Dus openden we op dat moment wat makkelijkst was: een PayPal account.

Ondertussen hebben we wél een bankrekening, en daarom verkiezen we gewone donaties via de bankrekening.

Maar PayPal kan ook nog steeds. Momenteel moet je wel zelf de Paypal pagina vertalen in je gekozen taal via je vertalingsbrowser. Check de dropdown om te zien hoe.

  • (Desktop & Mobile)

    Firefox now has built-in Firefox Translate, which works locally, without sending text to cloud servers.

    Automatic translation

    • Open the page → Firefox may show a translation bar.

    • If not:
      Click the Translate icon in the URL bar.

    • For full automation:
      Always translate pages from [language] (checkbox).

  • Safari (Mac & iPhone/iPad)

    Safari supports auto-translation for a limited set of languages.

    Automatic translation

    • Click/tap the Translate icon in the address bar.

    • Choose your language.

  • (Desktop & Mobile)

    DuckDuckGo focuses on privacy and does not have built-in automatic translation yet.

    How to translate pages in DuckDuckGo

    There are two workarounds:

    A. Built-in “Translate with Google” shortcut (mobile)

    On mobile DuckDuckGo:

    1. Tap the menu (⋯).

    2. Tap Translate → opens the page through Google Translate.

    B. Manually translate using Google Translate

    1. Go to translate.google.com

    2. Paste the page URL.

    3. Click “Translate” → opens the translated version of the page.

    No fully automatic trigger exists yet in DuckDuckGo.

  • Has the same translation engine as Chrome.

    Automatic translation

    • Edge shows a popup for foreign pages.

    • Or click the Translate icon in the address bar.

    • To automate:
      Always translate pages from [language].

  • (Desktop & Mobile)

    Chrome has a reliable built-in auto-translate.

    Automatic translation

    • Open a page → Chrome shows a popup.

    • If not:
      Right-click → “Translate to…”

    • To always translate a language:
      Click the translation icon → Always translate [language].
